I thought the attached G-1 and G-5 would be interesting to some folks. G-1 has the completion information - looks like acid fracs and therfore the target is the limestone formations.
24 hour production is 479 bbl of 42.8 API gravity condensate or oil. 1179 bbls of water with that. Note this is a vertical completion across multiple, thick zones.
Maybe I need to get Joe Aldrige to look at this, but it looks more like what he describes as TMS rather than Eagle Ford Shale. Any other thoughts?

Can find a G1 on the "Verna" showing IP test of 423 mcfd ------- no sales showing

Noted that Burk filled for a HORIZONTAL re-enter on 225-31187 "Ulrich" ---- this is most interesting as we had heard that this area was no good ------ and I THINK the production data on that well will confirm same --- see what you might find here if you have time -------- The term we had heard early on for all these vertical wells is Pilot Holes for the Horizontals later ?

"Worley" Rig reported at 10,350' now by rig data ------ think this is very accurate
"KNIGHT" shows 7 days of drilling
"Lundy" showing 8600' ----- so they should be looking at the Dexter & Buda right now
"Frank Smith" --- not reported --------- but I can vouch for 7 days plus I can see lots of pipe in the rack

Worley rig finishing up ----- hear they will be setting casing pipe to 12,800' the final TD in the "Pettit" formation
Water Well being readied on Terrace "Brown" for rig that is due in a few days
Lundy well shooting sidewall cores in the Dexter/Buda
Other wells drilling ahead and should be near/in the Woodbine
Hearing a little talk about a formation called the "Ft Worth" ---- does anyone have any knowledge of this formation?
Permalink Reply by dbob on April 10, 2012 at 8:10pm No knowledge of fort Worth, but will start digging
Permalink Reply by Texas54 on April 14, 2012 at 11:33am Any news on what Terrace is doing. Hope the weather will not be what they are predicting for Sun and Monday. Seems like good news for Madison and Leon counties.

Based on what I am hearing their "assigned" rig just keeps on being detained by a contrary H well being drilled by Burk at Midway ---- Word is that rig will go to the "Wakefield" in Leon Co. first but rumors are only right some of the time. If Terrace starts anything I will surely know it with-in 48 hrs and post it here.
Western Chief has 3 rigs running in the Austonio Area at the same time --------- the "Worley" is all but done and we are hearing that rig will be moving on to another county for someone else ---- this well is being cased all the way down to 12,800' so it is expected to be a producer.
Not hearing of any more new pads going in for Western Chief except for one near Shady Grove ----- and this seems strange to me as indications were that WC was entering into a constant drilling program.
5 Rigs running in Houston Co. right now ----- One for Navidad and 1 for New Gulf and 3 for WC.
Saw one of the Vol firemen that got burned down on the Navidad plant fire ------ he said "the fire got worse when they sprayed water on it" and foam saved the day

The latest news is that Rig Data does indeed confirm that the Terrace rig has started the "Wakefield" just across the river in Leon co.
Houston County shows that the "Worley"is gone but 5 rigs still running ---- Navidad has started the "Marty Hyde #3" But most interesting is that Burk has started the re-entry of the "ULRICH" which will be drilled out Horizontally --- this well I believe is east of Lovelady ----- we need to watch this one

AboutAs exciting as this is, we know that we have a responsibility to do this thing correctly. After all, we want the farm to remain a place where the family can gather for another 80 years and beyond. This site was born out of these desires. Before we started this site, googling "shale' brought up little information. Certainly nothing that was useful as we negotiated a lease. Read More |
