One of interest is in Angelina County.  Its called Pinecrest Energy Center and calls for a 730 MW natural gas plant.

If used for base load, a plant of this magnitude would use about 40 BCF of gas per year, based on my calculation.  127 kWh per Mcf.  Individually, this isn't a huge amount of gas, and a lot of the plants listed on the the platts report will be peakers, but cummulatively, it begins to add up.  It would be interesting to see if any national lists of new power plants are available
