By now someone should have calculated the BOED on the Wildhorse wells.

Wildhorse's wells are really very nice - now showing a good amount of liquids as well as strong rates of gas from the Horizontal wells in the LCV.  From whom did they acquire this  field?  Any idea as to how much acreage they own and is it confined to Lincoln Parish?

Acquired from Perohawk.  Sold to generate cash to chase the Haynesville Shale.  Terryville and Hico Knowles fields and some Ruston.  Calculated the BOED yet?

1-alt = 923 BORED (Barrel of Oil Revenue Equivalent per Day)

2-alt = 947 BORED

I use 20mcf to 1bbl for conversion.  Using a 6 to 1 ratio is very misleading.

tc, I was looking for BOED.  Never seen BORED.  On my mcf to boe calculator and with a little bump for the condensate reported I get ~4000 BOED.

I bet Floyd Wilson would love to have the the Terryville, Hico Knowles fields back !  He had no luck in the Utica.

How far can Wildhorse generate success in the horizontal LCV - outside of Lincoln Parish?

They don't say.  As a private company they don't make presentations and rarely provide press releases.

I can get to 3000 BOED.  16939mcf/6 = 2823bbl + 100bbl = 2923 BOE.

BORED is my own conversion to combat misleading NG wells posting BOE.  I also post on financial forums and you would be surprised how many people see 3,000 BOED and then slap a $100 per B and say this well is producing $300,000 a day in revenue, when the truth is closer to $90,000 a day.

If we are going to give Wildhorse credit for BOE, why not give credit to last weeks EnCana's Edgar Cason 35-26hc, 2-alt well that had a 3,525 BOE on only a 25/64 choke instead of Wildhorse's 34/64 choke.

Barrels of Oil Equivalent per Day - BOED.  Just so those reading the discussion understand what we are talking about.  Oil Equivalent is not crude oil.  So yes, no $100 per barrel multiplier.  ECA's Edgar Cason is a dry gas well and I'll accept your conversion.  However BOED seems to be used more frequently these days owing to the rising number of "liquid" wells and the amount of media coverage focused on operators moving to "liquids" and away from dry natural gas.  This comes up from time to time and has been discussed in prior threads.  The Wildhorse wells are "liquid" wells.  I can post the Berry 25H state allowable report and the Indigo press release on the well if you'd like.

I just wish that the SEC would find or mandate a better way for companies to communicate production on these mixed product wells.  The NG to oil conversion of 6mcf to 1bbl  is a little outdated for financial reporting purposes.

I agree.  Many press releases and corporate presentations leave the impression that operators stating production in barrel increments are referencing oil.  I think most casual observers think Eagleford production is all black oil when overall it's close to 40% condensate.  Some companies that truly have black oil production will sometimes state barrels and then add that 95% is oil.  Shale tends to produce light oil and condensate and varying percentages of NGLs.  It's hard to sort it all out even for those of us who look at it every day.
