I have also been approached by Goodrich. I am concerned about saying too much.

Jo Ann, meet me in the RRC of Texas Help Center. That way, what I tell you will be available to others looking for the same help.

Rayburn left to me by my grandmother. My grandfather's name was
Joshua Cochran Herrington.

Thanks all for info. I have seen bonus rates as high as $5-10k/acre mentioned. Would this hold true for this location? Any recommendations for a "good oil and gas attorney"?

Michael-- if those surveys are under Sam Rayburn Lake that is where Goodrich reported the S W Henderson #1H with IP 21mmcfd in Haynesville shale. The pad is near the dam east side from Broddus,Tx with H leg 4100' under the lake running North of pad site. Read everything you can about leasing and terms and clauses to put in the lease. You want 25% royalty. With 1300 acres and you have 90 acres you can not afford not to go today and see a good oil & gas attorney to help write the lease for you and your family heirs will live with lease you sign for decades to come. Congratulation on possible life changing situation for you anf=d your family

There is a link to the help page but, if you need more help, just give me a shout and I'll walk you through how to search for a specific survey.

MDB, If you will go to the RRC of Texas Help Center you will find a link to the GIS map on the Railroad Commission website. You can use that to search for each survey and see where it is located.

New Member/New Subject. Have been contacted by Land Man Representing Goodrich Petroleum about lease of approximately 1300 acres of family land (approx 90 acres my share). Charity Smith, John Lewis, G Cottingham, Willarfred Stanley, James N. McAdo, Archer Browning Surveys. Have not seen map locating areas. I believe this is land that went under when Rayburn filled and family retained mineral rights. Would appreciate help in finding map of property and advice on terms and conditions of lease and fair Bonus and royalty amounts. Also would be interested in contacting other family members (descendants of Angus Boone and Vannie Boon Cochran).
