There is no Haynesville Shale production in S. AR.  Why can't media outlets manage to get basic facts straight?  Mr. Nelson's proposed tax is a reasonable proposal that deserves debate.  I find his comments about the dire warnings of the industry to be correct.  The industry would have a much better public perception if they admitted that exploration and production place significant and unavoidable costs on local and state governments and agencies and were willing to negotiate a means of covering those expenses.  Anyone who has driven the back roads of E. TX. and NW. LA. know the damage done by E&P activities.  The industry's policy of fighting every attempt to regulate and tax their business and to use scare tactics is counter productive.  And in the new era of development spreading across the country, it will get them in trouble.
Since you seem to agree with Channel 11, Teddy, would you please do us the favor of listing all the producing Haynesville Shale wells in S. AR.  that contribute to the impressive economic impact stated in the report.  Or just one.
Chicken!  LOL!  Channel 11 obviously has a due diligence problem.
