Thanks, North LA. With the 8 sections already HBP by the 4 previous wells and the 8 sections these 4 wells will HBP along with XOM's position, it looks like SWN will have their leases all locked up in 22N 1E very soon. It is hard to believe that 18 vertical wells will HBP a whole township. SWN could move in a few rigs and lock up North LA within a year or two. No pun intended.

Is it customary to receive a letter concerning hearing application for 4 new units in Tick Creek field if you are not in any of the units?

State regs require notice to all mineral interests of record within the boundary of the proposed unit(s) and to a distance of 1000 feet immediately adjacent. So, yes, mineral owners not in the units do receive the same notice letter.

Skip.....I thank you...you always answer my question.  Once again, it seems I am a little bit outside of one of the units.  I own 60 acres in the section due south of the original WeiserBrown Exxon well in Sect. 12..my acreage is. in Sect 13 and 24, 22N,1E.  It seems that someone would want to drill a direct offset to that well, but

there is a lot I do not understand about exploration tactics.

Jim B.

Jim, you're smack in the middle of SWN's Area Of Interest.  You are literally surrounded by L SMK drilling units.  I'd say it's a good place to own minerals and that you will get a well before your lease expires.  There's still time.
