Is there a web site I can go to to look at a map of the survey my mineral rights are in.

I am moving and all my records are in storage. I did have it on my computer but something happened. DUHHH!

I know I am in the Jose Aquilaria A-1 but it is the two parcels I have I need to identify. One is 33 acres and the other 60 acres.

If not a web site can I call the court house with my name and get the information?

Also I realize that Marion County has not been hot like Harrison, Panola and other Southern Counties, however what has been the lease prices for the land that has been leased?

And is there leasing activity at this time?

Thank you in advance.

I am not aware of any online sites that are free and have survey plats. I have the marion county appraisal maps on disc. They have current surface ownership. The old 1953 survey ownership maps are also on there that they still use might be what you are looking for. If you need anything let me know.  I can tell you I had a land man tell me that Marion and Cass is being looked at hard now.

Where can I get a copy of the disc you have of MC appraisal maps.

Marion County Appraisal District has them.

I can tell you that there is leasing activity in Marion.  Our family is in the process of signing leases with a wildcat company.  Our minerals are located north of Jefferson and west of Hwy 59.  Unfortunately, I am contractually precluded from providing any details about the "deal".

Like Caddo Rat says, there's no website that provides mineral ownership information.  As far as I know, you have to go to the courthouse and do it like the landmen do.  It's a tedious and confusing process.  You could get a clue by looking at your deed.  If it doesn't "save and except" any minerals to the seller from whom you purchased the land, then you have all the minerals that he did.  To find out if he had any minerals to convey, you will need to go through the tedious process.  It's even more difficult (to me anyway) if you are a minerals only owner.

Can't speak to leasing activity, but there has been more permitting activity in the past month than in the past year.  That said, much of that permitting activity is by STM Oil and Gas.  The controlling interest in STM appears to be a medical doctor in DFW.

You might try calling the Central Appraisal District at 903-665-2519. They might be able to pull up a map and fax you something
