up date on the OL Guy 14 so call Travis Peak Unit--wildcat field

OL GUY 14  permitted by Hunt but drilled by XTO after they purchased Hunt Petroleum. 2.7 miles E Joaquin in the CW McDaniel Survey. Information for reports on the well RRC site P-4, etc brief high lights--- top of Pettit 5691  TP 6293 Bossier 9224  Smackover (aka CV Lime) 11.200. During drilling well took major kick when entering smackover at 11,292 that resulted in some difficulty controlling well-- requiring increase in Mud weight, flaring of gas that was said to be sweet no H2S -- finally TD at 11,531---- perf only at 11,451-11.488 in the Eagle Mills formation. To date thru April only 22 months has produced 384 mmcf of gas and still flow at same or better than IP 2 years ago of 650,000 mcfd. I don't understand why more are not drill in the area and with high pressure incounter in the smackover why that has not been produced? There are some good CV lime horizontal in east texas. Some vertical Lime wells in the Overton field (Smith County)that have made 5+BCF drilled by Exxon in the late 70s.  Very interesting area around Joaquin

I think that was drilled with the Latsha #8 drilling rig, which I don't think is one of the big flex rigs.  As you note, it has produced 384 mmcf since 2009, but it hasn't produced any condensate.  Figure at this point, its probably produced close to $2million in gas, prior to expenses.  Much of the stuff in that particular area is HBP.  

 

Anyway, push gas prices back toward $12 and I guess they would drill more of this.  Otherwise, better ROI on other stuff.

It's as good as some of the TP wells and still vertical at 12,500 cost should be about 1.3 million to complete to sales.

Maybe you could talk to Mr. Touchon (ta-shun), landman, or better yet engineer dept. at XTO. Of course, it is hbp'd, but looks like they would like to find something new when they are not working too much.
