first off, thanks for the info...yeah, i kinda figured it was going to get down to a lawyer... i swear i think the companies are in cahoots with them... shame they wont pay lawyer fees as well... they tend to say they are short handed and it is taking longer...sounds like a personal problem to me... the name of the well is boilermaker... i cannot believe it is taking so long... and yes, i shall ask for the interest as well... i wonder what lawyer got that put in the clause where one has to specifically ask for the interest they have been collecting on someone else's money? again, thanks

There is a rig on the Congo well site. I don't know if drilling has started but everything looks ready.

The Congo is on FM 3172 about 3 miles south of Tenaha creek bridge and less than a mile north of the Danube and Dneiper wells. It's not far from your mineral interest, Marg. However, there is still no leasing taking place in Huxley. The landman said that XTO has put them on hold until further notice. There are many tracts of land that have had leases expire this fall and winter and they have not been leased even though they are included in units already approved by TRRC and have pads ready for a rig. The name of the wells permitted in Huxley that have pads but have not been drilled are the Amazon, Euphrates, Parana, and Nile. I guess they are waiting for price of gas to go back up. They have been drilling the Congo for a week. I hope it is a very good well or XTO may decide to forget about Huxley. The Danube and Dneiper were not as good as they had hoped it would be. :(

It is not a good time to get wells as it will take a long time to repay investors, surplus is not going to be utilized with a warm winter, there has been so much drilling and gas located and the price is so low that it reminds me of numbers I heard when I was young. When prices were low then, it still would purchase a lot, etc. as when I was young, we had not had all of this inflation. LOL We neeed to join forces and get TX to using the gas; state trucks have been using NG for years, and many years ago, schools were asked to purchase NG buses, etc. We need to rally for more uses, etc. Tx will be less funded as the Sev. tax will be decreased, etc. The three dollar ninety seemed low; now we are in the upper two dollar range; maybe they will decrease production, pull enough to keep wells functional and employee paid and keep it in the ground. I think most people would rather work than give resources away. We should be using our own energy anyway as we could keep the money here and it would help our national security, etc. I have been reared that the mailbox money is extra and to not depend upon it. Maybe we should join T. Boone Pickens' Plan as there is a place on the internet.
