If anyone in this area has not leased and would like to get organized, email me at sfd971@yahoo.com. I live off Buncombe near Bethany and several of my neighbors have not leased. I am not going with a company that charges 4% or more to handle negotiating a lease because I am certain we can accomplish the same thing ourselves. The only expense we should have would be our attorney to help with the lease and clauses.

I have talked with my unsigned neighbors and we have probably about 20 acres of barganing power between us right now. I know several other unleased tracks that im sure will join that will add another 60 or so to that. We should form a group of our own, and elect a mineral committee to oversee the process.

I live in the same section as sfd971, and am very intertested in forming a coalition to handle my negociations for Leases. I also would like to hear of any meetings around this area. I am already in the 20 some odd acres sfd971 is talking about. I am going to try to help him, so you can email me, too, at mcrhodes@comcast.net and one of us will answer your e-mail. This goes all the way down Buncombe road and cook road.
If you haven't already signed a lease with an oil company, PLEASE LET US KNOW!
gOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE & GOD BLESS US ALL,we're going to need it.

Michele,

I think at this point groups are growing larger than sections, I joined one in Springridge last month and they have several thousand acres in it ranging from Johns Jin Rd to Keithville to Greenwood. I live in 16n16wSec22 and several of my neighbors joined back on the 5th and havent heard of anything yet on the bids. If you want the name and number of the lady that has this group, email me and ill get it to you. sfd971@yahoo.com

I got a letter from the Onebane law firm regarding a change in the unit boundaries in Sections 17 & 18 in R16W/T16N. I would like to get with owners in the area that may be impacted. I have several concerns about the proposal. I am at we_arnold@bellsouth.net and 601-415-3551.

Did they increase the acreage in those sections?
