Bill I didn't speak with field crew but Carolyn Chaffin, property owner, relaid this conversation she had with crew chief in early Dec.  Sorry I thought this much more recent.

Bee, I've heard rumors of Sec23 18S 21W being a potential SWN site for a couple of months or more.  I've driven by there and seen the stakes myself.  Just curious:  How recently was your conversation with the field crew?

Sarah I'm originally from Ruston now live in West Monroe but our LA oil/gas interest all located in Claiborne  in Townships 22N &21N. Tried to get Landman with Triad Land Services, currently leasing my wife's property in Columbia Cty (S22-T18S-R21W), intrested in leasing with in the next townships south (22&21) but no interest. I've little O/G knowledge but in visiting with Petro-Chem execs they tell me that their vertical SMK wells as far south as T21 penetrate the BD and tho listed as gas well continue producing some oil (ref well ser #240852-Duke Est 12. S12-T21N-R5w; #240620 Meadows Est 13. S13-T21N-R5W

#242329 Meadows Est 18 3Alt. S18-T21N-R4W) but none of the maps seriously being considered for the BD dip south of T23N so at this SWN is not interested. Will this Change if a horiz well is developed south of T23?

Thanks for the help Obed. I forgot to consider north and south on townships! Still learning.

This location seems to be about 11 miles west and 1 mile south of the SWN Roberson well near Atlanta, and is about 11 miles east and 2 miles south of the disappointing Brammer Watson-Fullenwider well  that was drilled in 2010 in the Dorcheat-Macedonia Field of Columbia County. Thanks for this breaking news Bee. So far I haven't bee able to find any mention of it in the AOGC database, but I'm just learning how to use that.

Bee, are you east of Ruston, around Choudrant? Pea Ridge area has had gas for many many years...don't know about oil.

SWN has staked new well pad in SW corner of S23-T18s-R21w no earthwork yet but field crew "hinted" posibly plans for 3 other pads in seemingly a N/S  unit (S23&S14, both full depth sec to max lateral). New to GHS and don't know if comments reguarding lease would still be of intrest and if so where, group? My take on GHS GREAT blog for info. Many thanks for all responsible.............bee meadows

I have heard nothing and The Baron commented yesterday that this say-nothing approach was more common among operators than SWN's more open approach. Still, COG will eventually have to report any oil sales and also update their investors, so they can't keep us in the dark for too long.

Any news on the COG Brown Dense well that was supposed to frac in FEB?

What kind of "legal action", Walter?  Is your attorney and experienced Oil & Gas attorney?  Energy law is a specialty which can not be mastered by a quick read through of the Mineral Code.  Many in the Haynesville Shale Play found out to their disappointment that just any old lawyer won't do.
