Comment by Skip Peel- Independent Landman on March 7, 2012 at 11:00am courtney, check the archived discussions in this group for those that touch on Morehouse Parish. XTO (ExxonMobil) has an LSBD test well there. Nothing in West Carroll currently expect state bid tracts.

My Property is in Claiborne Parish about 4 miles south of Haynesville. I have no knowledge other than what I read on this site.

Comment by obed w odom on March 7, 2012 at 8:37am I signed a lease in Sept, 2010, with Pinebelt and received a 30-day draft, which I sent to their bank for collection. They waited the full 30 business days, but did finally pay. I have also never heard of a 70-day waiting period or of the company called WhitMar.
Comment by courtney oliver on March 7, 2012 at 7:12am I have know about 30 day drafts ( which Is the way it is done), but no 70 days.

Comment by Joe Deerhunter on February 3, 2012 at 5:26pm Thanks Keith - count me in here. One of the next times I'm down that way I'd like to meet up with some of the neighboring Atlanta-area mineral owners like Bruce Malcolm.

AboutAs exciting as this is, we know that we have a responsibility to do this thing correctly. After all, we want the farm to remain a place where the family can gather for another 80 years and beyond. This site was born out of these desires. Before we started this site, googling "shale' brought up little information. Certainly nothing that was useful as we negotiated a lease. Read More |
