In any event, the O&G company has only two years before its lease runs out and there are wells all around waiting on completion or pipeline(outside the mine). If the wells are good and I assume they will be since EOG, SWEPI and CHK have drilled and continue to drill even though not delivering gas yet.
My view is that it will get worked out, but will cost the O&G money.

- My lease with KCS/Petrohawk expires in September 2010. No one has approached me yet about top leasing or purchasing mineral rights. I have heard that companies were going to be top leasing, even talked to a Chesapeake landman about it. He just said he "wouldn't be surprised" if companies started to top lease.
