"Thanks Aubrey - I'm close to wrapping up several estates (finally appointed as mom's executor) and my brother has been in touch with the mineral people up to this point. So I am playing catch-up on these matters. Oddly enough,…"
"I've been out of the loop for awhile, I don't think of heard from Cougar about this seismic work. I'd be open for it if it doesn't conflict with existing leases and some HBP we have in Columbia. Do they still have an…"
"Shirley, you're elcome! Please keep me informed. I made a partial copy of the original division order for Franks Warnock #2, but only to the point shoing my mom''s interest. It will be several months before I…"
"I have some interests there being paid by Lion Oil. they apparently bought the oils from wells brought in by McQuarrie (now Bonanza Creek). Paying royalties at same %, apparently the area is unitized or held by production. I…"
"Bill, I'd be interested in knowing who the land man was on that July lease. We still have some bits and pieces to lease in that area. Our previous land man got reassigned elsewhere after the Roberson well pipeline deal…"
"A relative may have just gotten a similar offer. Bonus was only $75/acre and 3/16 royalty, but specifically shallower than BD.
I wonder: Who is the company, and what's the bonus they offered?
What are the chances of numerous…"
"If someone checks this thread in the future, there were no replies. However, lots of older pipelines exist. As for this particular line, it was meant to flow from the roberson well, but a subsequent frac let brine into the well and that…"
Does that just apply to the most recent (under negotiation) leases, or older ones that bonuses have been paid for?
Not that I want one, but I haven't gotten any letter from SWN. A lease negotiation I had going on was…"
"Amen! I have no idea if the Roberson frack affects a very large or very small area around it. Hopefully only that particlar bore, but how can we know? In any event, there's a lot of land around there, so we'll hope for…"
"Steve, I certainly hope that's not the case - my family has several hundred acres in Columbia County! My only clues here were (a) negotiations with SWN/Angelina fell apart around the first of June; (b) my lawyer FINALLY got back to me…"
"Sorry, I missed that presentation. Maybe this is why my lawyer said the Roberson well is essentially "dead", and SWN dropped their pipeline project in the area.
Obed, could you give me any more info about that fracking into water…"
"SWN also dropped plans for a pipeline from the Robertson well going south. Our lawyer said that SWN considers that well "dead". I guess we should have gone for the initial offer after all. OTOH, I wonder…"
Folks, I am trying to find any comparable R-O-W agreements in SW Arkansas, preferably in Columbia, Union and/or Lafayette Counties. My problem is that I cannot find any idea of a price per linear foot or per rod (16.5 feet) for lines in this area. The closest we've come up with is $375/rod for a major pipeline in the Fayetteville area, and this is much much higher than what we are being offered ($5 per linear foot).I have looked over the threads on what to put into ROW contracts, but what I…See More
Joe, I don't think you will be jinxing anything regarding your ROW negotiations by discussing generalities on GHS. You'll have to read your O&G lease, if you have one, to see if it covers ROWs. Don't rely on someone in the timber industry to do anything beyond set a value for your timber. Good Luck.
Hello! I hope the site is a place for you to learn, network and contribute. My name is Keith and I started the site in June of 2008 to open up lines of communication between landowners. Since then, we have grown to over 13,000 members.
Because our network has grown word-of-mouth, I want to encourage you to invite your friends and family by clicking here.
There are a couple things you should check out. 1) Check out current discussions. 2) Join in on the County and Parish Groups. By joining a County or Parish, you are networking locally with people who share similar concerns.
Be sure to read up on how to navigate the site HERE. This will help you get the most out of the site.
As a member, should you ever be on the recieving end of crudeness, rudeness or spam, let me know. The site is a peered monitored site and we need your assistance.
As exciting as this is, we know that we have a responsibility to do this thing correctly. After all, we want the farm to remain a place where the family can gather for another 80 years and beyond. This site was born out of these desires. Before we started this site, googling "shale' brought up little information. Certainly nothing that was useful as we negotiated a lease. Read More
