Not a problem at all, I think it is wonderful news as well. My family has interest in 600 acres just south of this area. Heartbreaking as it was to be left on the outside looking in concerning the Haynesville Shale it was a sad thought to be left wi…

Serial# 240355 There has been heavy drilling in the Missionary lake field in the last 2 years, this appears to be the first horizontal permit filed for this area, looks to be a horizontal Cotton Valley.

God Bless your son Mr. Stewart, and kudos to you for raising a fine gentleman and patriot.

From how the play has panned out the science clearly shows net pay intervals have very little to do with production rates. The thickest sections of shale found so far have been in the northern part of the play, from 300-325 feet of Haynesville shale…

ETOCO stop leasing in far north Caddo in the fall of '08 after amassing about 10k acres. Then after about an 8 week lull, Devon started leasing in the same sections/townships. This was in Townships 23-21N - 14W. I had gone on to other projects and missed the summer of '09 action in 20N -14W until the Devon pre-app notice letters appeared. Devon has added another 10,00k+ and recorded their last lease on 11/3/09.

You mean we weren't friends already? If I had known that, I would have sent you a friend request. My work has taken me to other corners of the play and I was out of touch with recent activity in north Caddo. I like puzzles and trying to figure out Devon's intentions has been a challenge. You may be correct as to their interest involving CV horizontals in north Caddo.

Checkmateking. I have been following the Missionary Lake North, ETOCO wells for two years. Electrodynamics and I have been discussing them on a regular basis for over a year. I didn't wish to take exception to your comment on the main page discussion regarding "a history of good oil wells" but I have seen only a few that are CV. Less than 4. And a number of dry holes or short term producers. All vertical completions. I do however think that the science generated from the recent wells are the reason behind 2009 leasing activity and Devon's recent unit apps in 20N-14W. I would like to compare notes in the near future at your convenience. In the meantime I suggest that you perform a search of the Caddo Clerk of Court's conveyance records for ETOCO and Devon in north Caddo, if you have not done so already. I have been puzzling over it for some time. Regards, Skip
