Hi Les! I'm aware of the rig, thanks! You're so on top of things! I was talking to another member on this site and they said it probably spud by now. Any way to
know for sure? Our lease expires 9/29 with a two year option, it would be nice to get another bonus. :) Either way, I'm glad they're finally moving on it.
I HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO FIND THE STATUS OF PETROHAWK ENERGY SU105. I HAVE BEEN GETTING DIFFERENT COMMENTS ON THE RIG SUCH AS DATES OF DRILLING, ETC. CAN YOU HELP ME? MY EMAIL ADDRESS IS teresabays35@yahoo.com. thank you in advance for your help.
Les, I own some minerals in 11/11, Section 23 and am in negotiations with Chesapeake to lease 57.5 acres. We had an agreement and on the day before closing they decided they wanted to change some of the terms. Anyhow, I drove down there from Shreveport on Saturday just to check things out. CHK has permitted wells in 11/11 Section 14 and 23, with both to be drilled on a well pad in the south of Section 14. (370' FSL of 14). Sonris shows that the Fitzgerald 14-11-11H was spud on 4/12/2011, which would be about 10 weeks ago. Surely that is more than ample time to have reached TD on Section 14. I suspect they are now drilling Section 23 on the same pad. Saturday, Nomac 56 was on the pad and drilling away. I do not find Nomac 56 on either 11/11, 14 or 23 on your recent drilling rig locations. Any way for me to find out if Nomac 56 is drilling Section 23 at the present time?
Thanks , your are proberly correct (usually are), Drilling Rig Location foe May 14, 2011 shows #Rig 48 in sec 12 17N 15W. I am in 14 and have not even seen a pad in sec 12 and the Rig on 22 has moved off.
Sorry to bother you so much, but I was raised in the oil patch, my Dad was a drilling contractor in 40"s and 50 and this stuff is still in my blood.
Thanks for all of the insightful information that you share on this site. Can you educate me on the following question. If an operator currently has a producing well in a given section, would they have to get new permits to drill additional wells in that same section?
