Hosston must be a mistake as the vertical depth is the same as the other LCV wells.

5th time is the charm?  I own a small amount of minerals near Stanley, Desoto Parish, all HBP with some shallow gas wells under a 1/8 lease.  BP permitted a HA wells several years ago, but never spudded and the permit expired, did it again, sold the rights to Comstock, who permitted a well, which expired, did it again, and has now gotten a new permit.  This is the 5th Haynesville well permitted for this section, and maybe they will actually drill one this time.

Its been a long time since Comstock held this many HA permits.  It will interesting to see how many rigs they bring in.

With all their new units in the TMS, I wonder where Comstock is going to get all the capital needed to drill all the proposed wells.

Currently Comstock has only 4 TMS MS units approved.  And the one rig drilling there now is sufficient.  Once these DeSoto HA permits are entered in the database we can see if they are for 12 or 6 months.  I'm betting 12.  LA Drilling and Production Units do not include a drilling commitment.

Looking at the Sept. MS docket it looks like Comstock petition for 20 more units and in St. Helena/E. Feliciana they have 9/3 units in various stages of the process.  I just don't see Comstock having enough capital to start major drilling programs in 2 new areas.  I think some people are going to be disappointed and not get a well drilled for a long time, sort of what happen to Steve P.

In the past I think you have said that some of these applications/petitions are more for show and wall street, than actual drilling plans.

The vast majority of Comstock unit applications in the August and the September dockets were not approved.  They are "continued".
