whats the news on this well as of today

Thanks for the report Skip.

You're welcome, onesock.  Merry Christmas to you.

What happened to the post about the Reese well?

You busted me, onesock.  I posted it in error.  I updated the well status from a spreadsheet instead of directly from the weekly rig report.  The spud data should have gone in the McIntosh cell but was entered in the cell immediately below which was for the Reese well.

The MSOGB is showing both the Reese and McIntosh as drilling now.  One well each.

May be hope for both units now.

The weekly rig report for last Friday had the Reese under the cumulative rigs running for Encana but omitted it from the state/county listing.  Trinidad 125 spud the Reese 12/9.  The rig then spud the McIntosh on 12/11. There is probably a drilling commitment in the leases for these wells.  It is common for large land owners to require a "continuous drilling" clause in their leases.  That clause often calls for a well or wells to spud by a specified date.  Jumping back and forth between well bores is not pad drilling and it's not the preferred approach to the best of my knowledge.
