People around me have been getting division order letters but me and others have not. THe division orders are from petrahawk. So it would seem they all sighned with Petrahawk. The rest of us sighned with CHK and they are the ones who drilled our well. Will the people who sighned with CHK get a division order also?????

Yes, hopefully in this lifetime.  What does it say about the relative efficiency about the two organizations?

I failed to mention that we are all in the same section. Some went with PETRO and otheres with CHK. Petrahawk is sending out the letters CHK is not as of yet. I thought maybe CHK was not required to if you leased with them since they drilled the well not petrahawk.

RJ:

Being the operator does not relieve one of sending out DO letters. Also, whether you receive and/or send back a DO or not does not alter your right to receive royalties in a timely manner. You should verify that the owner of your lease has current address and tax information for you so that they can remit your proper royalties and not retaining backup withholding.

Are Yall talking about section 30 in 17N 15W?

YEP thats the section. You got any info on 30 Bear? Who do we call at CHK? I know there are some numbers on sonris for CHK. I find it odd that Petrahawk is sending out letters and CHK is not.

I don't know anything except for what we are all seeing on sonris. When I called last month, CHK told me that we should hear from them in February, March or April. When calling CHK, its under owner relations & then ask for either revenue or division orders. (877)CHK-1GAS

Hmm ok, WIll look at that. Maybe pertrahawk is just early or something.Dont they have to start paying something a 120 days after well completion? If so that is not long.

I thought it was within 120 days after producing not completion but You would have to ask someone that knows what they are talking about and thats not Me, lol!

hmm you may be correct there. Either way its counting down.  thanks!

WEll I got a Division order friday from CHK. TO my surprise IT said Sect 31-17n-15w. Has less then half of my land leased. I have thought I was in Section 30 from day one. Im hoping that the rest of my land must be in section 30-17-15. Can someone lead me to a section map that is visible. The 30/31 section line must divide my lease. Land is in greenwood acres subdivision. My lease says nothing about section 31 only 30. Can they make this big of a mistake?? Have a bad feeling about this.

RJ,

Here's a link to a site that will give you a map.  Make sure that, on the right-hand side, you check the box for PLSS (Public Land Survey System).  That will show the sections, townships, and ranges.

Thanks Henry for the Map. After looking at the Section map there is NO DOUBT IM right in the middle of Sec 30-17-15. IM not even close to section 31 period! Someone has their data crossed up at CHK. Something tells me I may not be the only one. The only thing that is correct on the Division letter CHK sent is my name and address everything else is wrong! Its almost like I have someone elses data.  Now I gues the fun part begins.Trying to Tell CHk that they have made a mistake. Makes me wonder how many people sent their division paperwork back and did not really look it over good. Lots of division orders went out to owners in section 30 from CHK. Guess we will see how many were wrong. IM surprised with how many of these division orders that CHK has done they are making mistakes it would seem.
