Haynesville Unit in the Pendleton-Many Field, Sabine Parish (12/4/09)

Petrohawk has filed for the first Haynesville Unit (HA RA SUA) in the Pendleton-Many Field and the first one in T7N (Sec 20-T7N-R11W). This unit is further south than any previous Haynesville Unit in Louisiana and is about 6 miles below the southern edge of the Haynesville/Bossier Shale play as shown on Petrohawk's own recent map. Does this mean Petrohawk believes the play may stretch even futher south in Sabine Parish??? Hopefully they will drill a test in the near future.

Very good, Les. An early Christmas present for Sabine Parish. And one that will be watched closely by those on the southwestern periphery of the play. And in E. TX. Good Luck to the members with minerals in the area.
OK, I need help with where this unit is on the map. If I didn't get all confused, it is just west of Many. Is that right?
Jffree, the unit in Section 20 is about 2 miles west of Many and just south of US 171. I have attached a map to show the location and the unit application.

As the crow flies the forest well starting in the ebarb area is about 12-13miles north of tex-la. bridge, the well at many and the forest both being good would lead to good things for land owners in area.
Just to fuel the rumer, the olympia well may have went off the chart as for as pressure.
Thanks for the maps Les.
