If I'm not mistaken I saw a posting by you some time ago dealing with Southern Star Energy and the Sentell Field. If I am correct, I would appreciate hearing from you as to whether you own an interest in the field, what you know about the wells clai…

All things, people, companies, places & geology related to the Haynesville Shale play in Bossier Parish.

Aubrey, sometime ago I saw a post from you which (I believe) said you owned interests in the Sentell Field subject to lease to Southern Star. I do also. This company is bankrupt and I got some hope when it announced some sort of combination with 2 o…

From how the play has panned out the science clearly shows net pay intervals have very little to do with production rates. The thickest sections of shale found so far have been in the northern part of the play, from 300-325 feet of Haynesville shale…

The link didn't work so I proceeded as you suggested. For some reason I was able to recover only the first page of the attorney's request together with a plat showing only the HA units. Perhaps I didn't go about it correctly. Any suggestions? Also,…

Rock quality is the issue for sure. Here is the log. Jay

Not really possible to tell from info reported to the state. From information I have heard it just doesn't have the quality of rock.

My notes indicate that the IP reported on SONRIS was 3165 Mcf. Did I get it wrong? If it was 7.5 MMcf how is that explained in light of results in other wells in the area?

All thing related to the Haynesville Shale play in North Caddo parish.

Yes, the published result for the Prescott well are disappointing. Some seem to think that production is in some cases being restricted due to low gas prices. Is this possible? Is possible to make a determination based on info available to the publi…

Thanks Baron. I assume that you are referring to the Prescott well in 35-19N-13W. Yes, the results found on SONRIS are disappointing - IP 5220 Mcf and only 38668 Mcf for 8-1-09. Some seem to think that production is being deliberately restricted due…

Thanks again, Skip. What is the simplest way to get to the Devon application?

CHK has a well in 19N-13W Doesn't look good.
December 2, 2009
Thanks, Skip. I don't doubt - I think I know- that nothing good will come of Southern Star. Without a miracle, it won't be around much longer. Obviously, I would just like to find out if there is any HA under Sentell Field.

Thanks for your input Checkmateking. I'm sure you've got the right answer. What I don't understand is how Southern Star could claim to be relying on Core Labs in Houston for examination of data on the wells in 16 & 17, which is said to indicate sign…
