"Yes, that is the page I'm using. Just click "well data" at the very bottom of the page. That takes you to the MSOGB Menu page. Then click "permit activity" which takes you to a page with weekly permits going back to 2009.…"

"Recordman Have you tried this page in your search for permit info by county? Is this what you are using to search for permits? I just discovered it. http://www.ogb.state.ms.us/ CB"

"Thanks Charles. I've been just going through the permit activity week by week to check on the counties I'm interested in. It's tedious but it's the only way I know right now to check on possible activity. "

"Hi Recordman, I have not discovered a way to do the search you are asking about. I am doing a 'past history' search of deeper Tuscaloosa wells drilled in Wilkinson Co by specific township, range, and section. If I find out how to do recent…"

Wayne County Activity?

I received an offer yesterday on some minerals in Wayne County and was wanting to know if anyone has any information about what might be going on in the area. My minerals are in 10N 6W sections 11-14. The initial offer was for $150 per acre bonus, 1/5 royalty for a 3 year lease with a 2 year option. Anyone else had offers? They were also interested in some minerals in Clarke County (1N 14E sec 16 & 21) and offered the same. Any other info would be greatly appreciated.See More

"Recordman I am just learning how to use the MSOGB myself but know of no way to do that - by county. If I hear of anyway I will post it here. CB"

MSOGB Search

Is there any way to search for drilling activity or permits within a certain county, by section, township/range. I know you can search for operators or by well names but I'm just looking to see what activity may be going on in a certain area. You can do this in the "well search" area but it only brings up information that is at least 10 years old. And individually searching through each week's permit activity takes way too long. Anyone have any tips to offer about searching the MSOGB online…See More

MSOGB Online

Does anyone know when the Mississippi Oil And Gas Board Online site updates a well's production numbers? I understand that they would be a couple of months behind and the latest numbers they have are for May production. Any idea when June will be posted on the site?See More

"You are paid on barrels "sold", not "produced".  As time passes you will eventually have a month in which you are paid for more barrels than were produced once accumulated production gets to market.  "

"Looks like the MSOGB has updated production totals for June and July as of this morning. But now I'm confused as to why I was paid for 531 barrels of oil produced in June when the MSOGB site shows 600 barrels in June. Can anyone explain this or…"
